Due to overwhelming support and interest from Canadians nation-wide, we have partnered with IDRF to accept monetary donations that will be used to purchase PPE (personal protective equipment) for Canada’s healthcare community.
You will be re-directed to our partner’s website to complete your donation.
Tax receipts will be issued by IDRF for monetary donations.
When the Conquer COVID-19 grassroots incubator first came together, we made the decision to focus exclusively on the donation and distribution of PPE such as masks, gloves, face shields, and gowns, along with other supplies that healthcare workers can use, such as baby monitors.
However, with the increased awareness of our group due to the incredible support of Canadian hockey legend Hayley Wickenheiser and actor Ryan Reynolds, we have received a significant number of requests from corporations and individuals looking to donate funds to support the purchase of PPE. To address this need, we have partnered with an established non-profit organization that understands and supports our mission and is already set up to accept monetary donations and issue tax receipts.
We are pleased to share that our non-profit partner is International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF), a 35-year-old charity that is headquartered in Canada and impacts the lives of over 600,000 people in Canada and around the world every year. IDRF is dedicated to helping communities respond, recover, and ultimately become more resilient through short-term relief efforts and long-term community development programs both here in Canada and abroad. Through this joint effort, IDRF will play a critical role in managing donations for Conquer COVID-19.
With no administration fee, 100% of every donation received for Conquer COVID-19 through IDRF will be allocated to the purchase of critical PPE and other supplies through trusted sourcing partnerships that we have in place. Once PPE has been sourced and acquired, Conquer COVID-19 will distribute it to Canada’s frontline workers.
Should there be any unused funds remaining once this pandemic is over, a donation will be made to a hospital or foundation to be determined in collaboration with both organizations, Hayley Wickenheiser, and Ryan Reynolds.
