WHAT ARE PPE DRIVES?
Conquer COVID-19 PPE drives are official events hosted by our volunteers and partner companies where anyone can drop off PPE (personal protective equipment) and other needed items in one centralized location. We use these drives to collect PPE donations, which are then distributed to organizations in need, such as hospitals, community clinics, long-term home care facilities, homes for disabled people, and shelters, among others.
ITEMS TO DONATE:
- Gloves
- Masks & respirators
- Face shields
- Isolation gowns and scrubs
- 2-way baby monitors with audio
- Tablets
- Diapers, formula, and other baby items
- Hand sanitizer
- Meal replacement items (bars, shakes)
- Feminine hygiene products
UPCOMING PPE DRIVES:
We have completed all of our official PPE drives across Canada and are now focusing on procuring PPE with donated funds. Thank you sincerely to all of the donors and volunteers that made these drives a success. You are helping to #CONQUERCOVID19!
SAFETY MEASURES
We are committed to the safety of our volunteers and donors. As such, we have set the following guidelines for participating in Conquer COVID-19 PPE drives safely:
- As a donor OR a volunteer: if you have a cough, fever, or feel unwell, please stay home
- Maintain a distance of 2m (6 ft) away from others whenever possible
- All Conquer COVID-19 volunteers wear gloves and masks during PPE drives - if you are donating, we encourage you to wear the same if possible
- For disinfection purposes: all donated items remain isolated in our storage locations for a sanitation hold for 3 days
- We use road hockey car safety methods - stay alert when you hear CAR!
- When donating: please maintain a minimum number of people per vehicle. We have volunteers to help you unload so only a driver is required per vehicle.
